Our focus will be on applying big data and related technologies to provide data driven solutions for real world problems like insurance fraud detection, legal document analysis, spam detection, sentiment analysis The events will include hands-on sessions/practical demos apart from regular discussions to provide a practical learning experience. The technologies explored will include but are not limited to Hadoop, OpenNLP, Lucene/SOLR, NLTK, Stanford NLP, Spark, HBASE, graph databases such as Titan, Giraph, Neo4j and every other recent technology useful in creating intelligent data driven applications.
