Online: Casual Empathy Practice/Talk

Details
Join us for a casual online hangout on fostering empathy and creating authentic connections through use of Practical Empathy.
In this interactive session, we may address topics such as conflict resolution, successful relationships, and consciousness while delving into strategies for improving relationships and navigating social anxiety.
Whether you're seeking to enhance your empathy skills or looking to overcome social barriers, this event offers a safe space for personal growth and exploration. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and develop the tools for building successful and empathetic relationships.
THIS IS NOT A CLASS. Let's keep the teaching down to a minimum. You know, "Be the change you want to see in the world..."
Based on the book, "A Practical EmPath: Rewire Your Mind":

Join us for some or all of the following, depending on the group mood/interest:
- Conversations that go a bit deeper.
- Meet interesting people.
- Play to Evolve card game.
- Practicing giving/receiving empathy.
- Demonstration/learning of turning arguments into peaceful discussions.
Based on PEP, NVC, Stoicism, and Buddhism.
IMPORTANT NOTES
(1) Host will at times consciously use judgements/evaluations in a joking way. If you hear him do this but are not sure if he is joking, speak up! He understands his quirky humor can sometimes contribute to confusion.
(2) When the group is in "Practical Empathy practice (PEP) mode (usually in the game)," you are free to use whatever you consider empathy or try to use the methods of PEP. Either way, to stay in integrity with the PEP system, if you say something that is considered counter to empathy, the host may point this out so all can learn. If you worry that the pain from that correction may be too much, this group may not be for you. Remember: An important aspect of PEP is we are *usually* responsible for our own feelings.
SOMETIMES PEOPLE SHOW UP LATE SO IT MAY BE JUST SCOTT OR SMALL GROUP AT FIRST. IF THIS PAGE SAYS THE EVENT IS ON, THEN THE EVENT IS ON.
