Practical Magic Society: A Creative Social Club for Women

Join us for an Autumn nature walk. 3.75 miles round trip, flat on the greenbelt. We'll stroll east on the greenbelt to the first pedestrian footbridge then turn back.

We'll collect natural items for our alters or upcoming besom craft, so bring a basket or bag.

Wear comfortable clothes and good walking shoes. Dress for the elements and bring water.
A weather update will be posted the day before.

Harvest has come and gone and now it’s time to give thanks for Mother Earth’s blessings. Join us in November to celebrate with your sisters, eat and drink, and craft a floral and crystal besom to protect your hearth.

I will provide the necessary supplies unless our coven grows too large, then I may request help with supplies or charge a modest cover fee. But the Society is first and foremost a community building endeavor, not a financial one.

TRAIL: The Ponds Loop

HIKE: half mile loop on asphalt and gravel path. We will take our time and walk around the surrounding area and enjoy our time in nature, with sisters, under the full moon.

WHERE: The Military Reserve Dog and Bike Park
750 Mountain Cove Rd, Boise, ID 83702

MEET: We will meet at the covered table next to the vault bathrooms.

WHAT TO BRING: Dress in layers and accordingly for the weather, Good walking shoes, red light headlamp (if you have one)/flashlight, water, warm drink to enjoy with friends in the moonlight, a journal if you wish.

BATHROOMS: There are vault bathrooms, however they may be locked since this will take place after the sun sets.

In December we prepare for the rebirth of the Sun. We gather to fashion Yule logs to push back the dark, conquer evil spirits and draw the Sun’s warmth back to the Earth.

I will provide the craft supplies gratis unless our group grows too large and then I may request supplies or charge a small cover fee.
