What we’re about
A lifelong Choral musician from New Haven (currently living and working in North Haven) has developed some exercises that help individuals develop their sight-singing and music reading skills. These are immediately practical tips and exercises that will improve your musical independence, strengthen your skills so that you can be more of a section leader than a follower. Rhythm, intervals, key signature recognition, audio/visual consciousness are all important elements of choral music. As a group, we will sight read some relatively simple exercises and pieces of various styles. We will improve your musicianship! This will make our respective choirs better and INCREASE our love of choral music and the joy it brings to us each week. This group is for all ages, but geared toward adult choral enthusiasts who want to improve their skills in an easy going and fun loving environment.
I also teach individual lessons, but I wanted to setup this meetup to see if there was interest in the broader community.
Both group lessons and individual lessons are reasonably priced
