What we’re about
This group is for anyone who is looking to practice "The Work” of Byron Katie with others. The Work is a simple yet powerful process of self-inquiry—available to anyone with an open mind and a willingness to know their truth.
“The Work is meditation. It’s contemplation. It takes very deep stillness—because what arises to meet (each) question is pure knowledge. Yours. You’re the teacher you’ve been waiting for. And in the stillness… amazing things happen. In fact, enlightenment happens.”
In a nutshell – The Work invites us to:
Identify a stressful thought, write it down, ask 4 questions, and turn it around!
Everything you need to start is freely available at thework.com.
A little about me:
Since discovering The Work last year I’ve found it to be profoundly life-changing. It’s the most practical and transformative self-help tool I’ve come across in my many years of spiritual inquiry.
The Work continues to support me daily in improving my relationships and gently guiding me back to peace, clarity, and freedom whenever my mind wonders astray from reality.
My hope is that this group becomes a safe space where we can all learn from each other, witness truth unfolding together, and openly share our experience with The Work.
New to The Work?
Practicing this process is very simple, however, it is also very confronting to the ego. It asks you to pause and truly look at the thoughts that have been unconsciously running your life.
Through the simple act of isolating a stressful thought or belief, writing it down, and learning to question it, you begin inviting your mind and heart into a different kind of truth—your truth—not the one the world has told you.
Through inquiry, the ego begins to lose its grip—not by force, but through the light of awareness (aka. 'enlightenment'). Thought by thought, worksheet by worksheet, The Work gently dissolves the foundation of suffering, revealing the truth that has been true always, patiently waiting to be known...
