[https://join.slack.com/t/pragueawsusergroup/shared_invite/zt-1rmrtma7b-ZexiFetdKl_xa82bhvuxUw](Prague AWS User Group Slack)

The goal of Prague AWS User Group is to bring together expert AWS users, developers, operations engineers, etc to promote sharing of knowledge and learning. We want to discuss topics that heavy users have encountered and share our own learnings and approaches to scaling services built on top of AWS.

== Who should Join? ==
We expect members to have direct experience with as many AWS services as possible. You don't have to be an expert at everything but are expected to have working knowledge of at a minimum EC2 and S3. We are not going to be presenting introductions on services but deep diving into them with assumptions that members understand the basics.
We invite you to attend our events and stay connected with AWS and our user community, and provide feedback on topics you’d like to hear about in the future.
Thanks for your involvement and welcome!

Qest technologies s.r.o.

We would like to invite you for next Prague AWS User Group Community Meetup to Qest

There will be two speakers with the following presentations:

  • Serverless GraphQL Subscriptions by Patrik Valkovič (Backend Developer at Qest)
    Refresh button is dead, users seek real-time interaction and immediate feedback from the web applications they are using. To fit user experience, web sockets took their place in modern websites and web applications. However, by adding them into the mix, we are bringing new challenges. Many of them arise from the stateful nature of web sockets - how and where to persist them, how to load balance them, or how send message to connection established on different server.
    In this talk, I will be talking about implementation of GraphQL subscriptions, build on top of web sockets, using serverless architecture. I will show how to separate sockets stateful data and keep the whole architecture purely stateless
  • Serverless Programming Language Analysis by Michal Simon (CEO & Founder at codeac.io)
    The talk will dive into technical debt detection in CloudFormation and Terraform templates through machine-learning models on AWS Lambda. We will look deeper at how these models are trained on open-source datasets and identify several performance challenges we had to solve using real-live examples from Codeac's architecture. Anyone who is curious about technical debt is welcome.
