🐻 🏭 ABANDONED FACTORIES AND RESCUED BEARS

https://shorturl.at/2QSQnUrbex = urban exploration. Walking into the places a city forgot — dead factories, empty halls, rusting machinery slowly being eaten by weeds. Kladno was the steel heart of Bohemia, and the bones are still standing.
Our main target is the Vojtěšská huť (Koněv), one of the oldest ironworks in Central Bohemia. Blast furnaces, ore bunkers, a coke plant the size of a cathedral, and three lime towers that are a protected cultural monument. Best part: it's an official industrial trail, open to the public, with concrete info panels along the route. No fences to hop, no trouble.

11:00 – Meet at Praha-Bubny station
11:34 – Train departs toward Kladno
~12:20 – Arrive Kladno město
12:20 –15:00
-Medvědárium in the castle garden 🐻 — rescued circus bears, right in the centr
-Vojtěšská huť / Koněv industrial trail
-Lunch break (don't expect a picnic table!)
-The plynojem (old gasholder)
-Wrap up and walk to Kladno-Švermov station

🔒 Abandoned places change fast — things get fenced off, demolished or bought overnight. Vojtěšská huť is part of the official industrial trail so it should be fine, but if something is closed on the day, we adapt.⏱️ Times and route are approximate. We move at the group's pace. We’re meeting up at Palackého náměstí, walking across the bridge together, and heading straight into Podzimní polívkování (Autumn Soup Festival) at Smíchovská náplavka.
Expect a great lineup of traditional Czech classics (like Kulajda), rich pumpkin specials, and exotic broths from around the world. After warming up and eating our fill along the Vltava, we’ll head over to Down Under to keep the night going with drinks and board games! 🎲🍻
