Mindfulness for the Ups and Downs of Entrepreneurship

Details

I'd like to invite you to a Meetup of the Mindful Entrepreneurs, where I'll speak about "Emotional Agility for the Ups and Downs of Entrepreneurship".

Here is a link to the Meetup: https://www.meetup.com/MindfulEntrepreneursDenver/events/ctkhlpyxgbwb/

Here is a description:
In addition to everything that entrepreneurs must manage, we have to manage ourselves. That’s often challenging, as each day can bring a roller-coaster ride of excitement, anxiety, joy, and frustration.

Difficult emotions are inevitable; it’s how we deal with them that makes the difference. Emotional Agility (a.k.a. Psychological Flexibility) is a mindfulness-based approach to self-leadership that helps us catch our maladaptive patterns, and deal with reality more effectively.

Over time, mindfulness practice can even change the brain. In this talk, you’ll learn:

  • The two ways we go off track with difficult emotions
  • Why ignoring emotions doesn't work
  • How to practice mindfulness with difficult emotions – simple, but not easy
  • How mindfulness practice affects the brain
  • How this relates to the larger vision of developing mental complexity for a changing world
