The Present Pace Walk #007: You Don’t Have to Walk Alone
Details
In honor of National Depression and Mental Health Screening Month, we’re coming together to recognize that mental health is an essential part of our overall well-being.
Life isn’t always easy and every one of us faces seasons that feel heavier than others. Whether you’ve personally experienced depression or anxiety, supported someone who has, or simply believe in creating a world where mental health can be discussed with compassion, this walk is for you.
This isn’t a therapy session or support group. It’s a reminder that community matters, that movement can be healing, and that none of us have to navigate life challenges in isolation.
If you’d like to wear green in support of mental health awareness, please do so, but most importantly please come exactly as you are.
As we walk together, we’ll reflect on one simple question:
“When you find yourself struggling in life, what does support look like for you and are you letting yourself receive it?**”
There’s no right or wrong answers. Sometimes the things that sustain us are simple: a morning walk, a trusted friend, prayer, music, therapy, laughter, time in nature, or simply knowing someone cares enough to ask how we’re doing.
Our hope is that everyone leaves feeling encouraged, supported and reminded of one simple truth:
You don’t have to walk alone.
These walks are not about speed, distance, or fitness level. They're about showing up for yourself, one step at a time.
Parking: you can park in the Target Parking lot as the entrance to the trail is right next to the Target - to the left of the building
