What we’re about
Welcome to Pride Adventures (Victoria)!
We organise a variety of LGBTQ+ friendly activities and trips for members to connect, have fun, and make new friends.
The idea is simply to provide our community (and friends) a welcoming platform to meet like minded people in a relaxed environment whilst having the opportunity to enjoy the best of what Victoria offers.
Most activities are centred around my love of bushwalking and just getting out into the wonderful outdoors, but we will be hosting general social events and are always open to suggestions.
Events will cater for people of varying fitness levels from those that just want to enjoy a gentle social walk to those that want to combine the social aspect with building their fitness levels and taking on a challenge!
Carefully read the event description to understand if the posted event is right for you or simply ask the organiser of the event.
What's the cost ?
Events are free unless there are entry fees or other expenses that require payment.
Is transport provided ?
Those attending events will be required to arrange their own transport to the meeting point.
We are always keen where possible for those with transport to offer a ride to others in order to do our bit for the environment but also give those without transport the opportunity to attend events. (to allow for this we use a simple carpooling website - just follow the link on the event description)
Why am I on the waitlist for an event?
In the interest of safety and in some cases to minimise the impact on the environment, hike leaders will often nominate an attendee limit for the event. If the limit has been reached, you're still welcome to join the waitlist and simply keep checking to see if a space has become free.
What if I can’t come to an event anymore?
Please change your RSVP to ‘Not going’ even if you’re currently on the waitlist.
A no-show policy applies to all events, so if you’re a confirmed attendee but can no longer come, please contact the hike leader as early as possible to avoid being marked as a no-show. (3 no shows and you will not be able to attend future event in fairness to all those in the group)

Kangaroo Island Adventure: March 5th - 9th
Join us for an unforgettable adventure on Kangaroo Island! We'll be hiking iconic trails, taking in breathtaking landscapes, and enjoying the region's amazing food and wine.
The main hiking days are Friday the 6th, Saturday the 7th, and Sunday the 8th of March. To provide flexibility, each day will be posted as a separate event, so you can join for all three or just the days that work for you.
Our base will be Kingscote, the largest town on the island. It offers a wide range of accommodation options, as well as excellent restaurants and bars.
Logistics & Next Steps:
Kangaroo Island is located 70km from Adelaide and is accessible by ferry or small plane. As the island is Australia's third largest, we will need cars to reach the various trailheads. We're hoping a few people can bring their vehicles to minimize hire costs and to allow more people to join without flying into Adelaide.
At this stage, we are simply gauging interest. If you're keen, please RSVP to this event. Based on the response, we will arrange a meeting at my place to finalize a detailed plan.

Time to burn off some of those festive calories with a beautiful walk starting from Belgrave and taking some very pretty tracks through the Sherbrooke Forest until we reach the beautiful Alfred Nicholas Gardens.
The Gardens is known for its extensive water features including waterfalls and an ornamental lake complete with boathouse. As a well as the beautiful Mountain Ash trees.
From there we will follow the aptly named Hill Climb Track back into Belgrave.
So a few hills to keep the heart rate up but no major climbs which makes it suitable for all.

Lerderderg State Park 28Km - Hard
O'Briens Crossing, Obriens Rd and The East Walk, Blackwood, AUGrade: Hard
Total Elevation Gain: 1003m
Distance: 28 km
Pace: Moderate (4.5km PH)
Meeting Point:O'Briens Crossing
Host Contact Number: 0401498263
Dogs - No Dogs Allowed
This is a tough but very rewarding hike that will take us on some of Lerderderg's best tracks including the East Walk, Razorback Track, and Whisky Tracks.
This 28 km track involves quiet a few smaller hills and two big climbs so a good level of fitness is required but the elevation is spread over a long distance so a doable challenge!!
There could also be some small river crossings involved depending on the level of water in the river but normally the crossings are very shallow.
So overall quite a technical but fun track with some beautiful trails which are broken up with some flatter fire trails which allows us recovery time after some of the hilly sections.
