Join me for a scenic Loop through the beautiful Dandenong Ranges exploring lush fern gullies, towering Mountain Ash forest, and the picturesque Olinda Falls. This challenging but rewarding hike winds through Olinda Reserve and the R.J. Hamer Arboretum, offering a mix of native bushland, impressive exotic trees, and occasional views across the Yarra Valley.
The trail includes several steep climbs and descents, so a reasonable level of fitness is required. Tracks may be muddy and slippery after rain, so sturdy hiking footwear is strongly recommended.
Expect beautiful forests, waterfalls, fern-lined creeks, and a great workout in one of Melbourne's most iconic walking areas.
