Join us for a relaxed and social walk through the Dandenong Ranges Botanic Gardens. This is not a fast-paced fitness walk—we'll be taking our time, enjoying the scenery, chatting, and making frequent stops to admire the landscape and capture photographs along the way.
Dandenong Botanic Gardens

While the pace will be leisurely, there will be some inclines. You should expect a little bit of a workout. The good news is that our regular photography stops provide plenty of opportunities to catch your breath and soak in the surroundings.

Our journey begins along the Garden Circuit Path, leading us to Serenity Point, where a spectacular lookout offers our first opportunity for some stunning landscape photography.
From there, we'll leave the main circuit and make our way to Oval Meadow, wandering amongst a magnificent cluster of towering gum trees before following Mathias Track to our next photographic stop at the picturesque lake.

If conditions permit and the track is open, we'll then explore the peaceful Lyrebird Path, before finishing our walk by visiting the lovely Australian Cloud Forest Garden, one of the gardens' hidden gems.

Along the way, keep your camera ready for the abundant birdlife that calls the gardens home. We're likely to encounter colourful parrots, finches, cockatoos and, with a little luck, kookaburras.

The walk is expected to take around 1½ hours, after which we'll head to Dudley's Café for a well-earned lunch and the chance to relax, share photos, and enjoy good company.
