Understanding JTBD
What is JTBD, and how does it fit in with our existing product design toolsets and frameworks? How might we get the best out of this approach?
Jobs To Be Done (JTBD) has increased in popularity in recent years as an approach for uncovering the deeper roots of user needs, showcasing methods for prioritisation and sense-making—even wading into the age-old debate around personas-or-not-personas.
You'll learn:
- How "jobs" differ from "tasks"
- The foundations of the Outcome-Driven Innovation framework
- The original JTBD Switch interview approach (and how you might combine it with other methods)
- Expressing user needs in job stories, job statements and outcome statements
- Demand Thinking, and the concept of jobs-as-progress
- Incorporating JTBD into our existing approaches

Join us for an immersive session where:
- We'll unpack the essentials of effective habit formation.
- Get familiar with the concept of continuous discovery.
- Engage in a hands-on exercise, breaking down the intricacies of a repeatable research schedule. Step into an evening of discovery, simplify your processes, and craft lasting connections with your customers.
