Description:
In this talk I'll cover how creating a card game for Kickstarter taught me about everything I was doing wrong when it comes to launching a new product or feature. If you're like me, the bulk of your time as a product manager is spent nailing down desired outcomes with stakeholders, doing customer discovery, iterating with design, working with engineering and managing scope. By the time the product is finished, you're just ready to get it out the door. But there is a big difference between taking a product live, and actually launching it, and I believe understanding that is critical to your product's success.

Bio:
Hi! I'm Jesse and I've spent the last 10 years building and leading product teams for seed stage startups, the most recent of which (Nav) just closed a $44M C round. My background is in design and illustration and I just accomplished a long-time dream to create a card game from scratch and successfully fund it on Kickstarter. I'm currently a product manager at Weave working with the mobile app team to improve the relationships between dentists/optometrists and their patients.
