Join Product Hive for an inside look at Cricut on Wednesday, October 14th at 4:00 PM at their headquarters in South Jordan, Utah.
Cricut sits at an interesting intersection of physical product, software, and experience design. Best known for its smart cutting machines, the company has evolved into a broader creativity platform built around Cricut Design Space®—connecting digital design tools with machines, materials, content, and subscriptions to help millions of people turn ideas into physical creations.

For product and UX professionals, that creates a particularly interesting design challenge: How do you create a digital experience that ultimately has to succeed in the physical world?

During this visit, members of the Cricut team will give us a look inside the company, walk through how they approach UX and product development, and answer questions about designing experiences across an interconnected hardware-and-software ecosystem.

We’ll explore topics like:

  • How Cricut approaches UX across software and connected physical products
  • How teams design the journey from an idea in Design Space to a finished physical creation
  • How Cricut thinks about usability for a broad range of users, from first-time makers to experienced creators
  • How research, customer feedback, and product data influence design decisions
  • How UX teams collaborate with product, engineering, hardware, and other disciplines
  • How the product and design organization has evolved as Cricut has expanded from individual machines into a larger creativity platform

The visit will include a short tour, conversation with the Cricut team, and Q&A, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions about their processes, challenges, and lessons learned.

If you work in product design, UX research, product management, engineering, or digital product development, this is a chance to see how a Utah-based global consumer technology company approaches products where the digital and physical experiences have to work together.

Space is limited to 20–30 attendees.
