Kenneth is a Senior PM at OGP and is currently working on the Health Appointment System, Queue, and Referral Exchange.
He has previously worked on Tech Policy and Covid Operations. He is deeply passionate about public service and believes that public policy is the greatest lever one can wield to uplift lives and livelihoods. As a public servant, he enjoys designing robust policies to solve public problems and helping develop officers to their fullest potential.

Talk Synopsis: This talk will dive into the origins and development of the Health Appointment System (HAS), and emphasise the critical importance of user empathy in designing impactful health technology solutions. We will cover with real-user cases studies in:
•⁠ ⁠The pressing issue of low adult vaccination rates in Singapore
•⁠ ⁠Problem validation process: why the vaccination rate was so low?
•⁠ ⁠How HAS effectively tackles the barriers and challenges?

About Brendan
Brendan has been a co-founder, early stage employee, and product advisor for tech startups - particularly those engaged with maturing technologies such as AI and Web3. He is currently focused on building product that leverages behavioural data to reduce the demands placed on our time & attention by technology, ultimately improving our personal lives. Brendan’s greatest passion is nurturing and growing people and teams. He coaches a small number of startups in Singapore & Malaysia, and is an ultimate frisbee coach in Singapore’s national team training program.

Talk Synopsis: Rolling out a privately developed product on behalf of a public health institution has its own set of challenges, from the types of stakeholders and regulatory concerns encountered to the size of the addressable market. Brendan will relate his experience working with the Ministry of Health in New Zealand to roll out their COVID vaccine pass program based on MATTR’s decentralised TrustTech platform, and the product lessons that he learned along the way.
