First two weeks of an online self-study Project Planning course

Meetup only allows Meetups of two weeks or less so there will be another Meetup for the third and fourth weeks and yet another for the fifth and sixth weeks.

Hundreds have participated in this course. This Summer session serves only about a dozen participants who will network with each other for six weeks and beyond. The content will be available long after the end date of July 26. Participants are encouraged to hold live on-line or in-person meetings.

Participants will learn about and gain skill in Project Management World's 7 Steps to Project Success methodology. This methodology will appeal to those project managers who have mastered traditional project management including planning, scheduling, and budgeting and are bringing projects to successful closure. Now they need to ensure that they are not replaced by Artificial Intelligence. It does this by encouraging Strategic Project Management.

• The training runs for six weeks with participants spending about two hours/week on their own schedule.

The Canvas Learning Management System is the platform for the 7 Steps to Project Success training. It works on computer browsers and the Canvas Mobile App. The quizzes are machine-graded and the discussions are graded by a facilitator. Interactions among students occurs in a general discussion thread and in module-specific threads. Participants can choose to communicate with each other in other ways. The best experience occurs if the group works at the same pace: two modules each week including Module Zero that explains how to use Canvas.
