We have built quite a reputation in helping to kick start peoples Property Development careers, or lift the trajectory for those already on their way. Having seen a number of our members leave their day jobs to transition to full time Property Development, and a hell of a lot more that are well on their way. Having said that, the group is not just for beginners, we have a number of long time developers in the group at the bigger end of town also with everyone able to gain from the collective experience of the group.
Our meetings typically consist 3 distinct section, an Industry Expert, a Real Deal & finally a Masterminding process.
Our Industry Experts are people that you will need in your property development team, with them giving guidance and advise on the relevant topic of the month. In the past we have had Town Planners, Civil Engineers, Property Lawyers, Accountants, Architects, University Lecturers, Project Managers, Experienced Developers, Property Managers, Financial Planners, Valuers, Brisbane City Council, Surveyors, Commercial Lenders & more. These experts love helping those with a thirst for knowledge and an attitude to succeed and we have been blessed with the quality of these speakers who keep lining up wanting to present at our group.
The Real Deals allow you to learn from projects that others have done within our group. Learn from their experience, success' and mistakes before you do it yourself. You get to see warts and all what went right, what went wrong and the profit that was able to be achieved out to the deal. There is nothing better than seeing the real thing to know that you can do the same for yourself.
We typically finish with a Mastermind process, with each person able to seek assistance from the collective knowledge of the group in how to overcome any current obstacles. Sometimes your problem might be as simple as not knowing where to start, or how to learn the development process, whilst other times it might be as complex as a specific problem that you are having withing your current deal. Either way, the group is here to help, with all of us moving forward as a result.
OH - And we always kick on socially after the event for a few beverages so please make sure you have plenty of time to hang around and mingle with your peers.
Welcome aboard, and I hope you enjoy the ride.

Stop Sustainability Delaying Your Deal! Hexicon (Kapil Kumar)Are Sustainability Rules Putting Your Next Deal at Risk
You’ve found a great site. The numbers stack. You’re ready to move forward…
Then sustainability requirements get in the way.
7 Star Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme requirements.
Stormwater management. Water Sensitive Urban Design.
And what looked like a straightforward project turns into redesigns, additional costs, delays, and uncertainty.
Town planning gets held up. Designs need to change.
And suddenly, your “great deal” is sitting on the sidelines… while your holding costs keep adding up.
Here’s the truth:
Most mum and dad developers don’t get caught out because they picked a bad site…They get caught out because they didn’t understand the sustainability requirements early enough.
That’s why you need to hear from Kapil Kumar from Hexicon.
In this session, you’ll discover:
• What the 7 Star Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme requirements mean for your project
• The sustainability requirements you need to consider when subdividing
• How to choose the right Environmentally Sustainable Design consultant for your development
• What you need to know about stormwater management and Water Sensitive Urban Design requirements
• How to make sure you’ve covered the sustainability requirements before lodging your town planning applicationAnd most importantly…
How getting the right Environmentally Sustainable Design advice early in the design process can help you avoid costly redesigns, planning delays and unnecessary headaches.
Because sustainability shouldn’t be something you discover halfway through your project…
It should be part of your strategy from day one.
Don’t miss this session!
INTRODUCING THE REAL DEAL:
9 Rooming House Project (Jason Stanley)
5m922, GRZ, Hoppers Crossing, VictoriaMost mum and dad developers think the hard part is finding the site.
It’s not.
The real pressure hits when you’re deep in the deal, when promised construction finance falls over, when council shifts the goalposts late in the build, and when policy changes (including VCAT rulings around what qualifies as “self-contained”) threaten to derail months of work.
That’s when you discover whether you’re a dreamer… or a developer.
At our next Property Developer Network Meetup, Real Deal presenter Jason Stanley shares a project that tested him on finance, council and mindset.
What went well? The growth. The lessons. The shift from hoping it works to thinking strategically.
What didn’t? Finance headaches, disappearing brokers, and late-stage council challenges that could have wiped out profit.
This isn’t theory.
It’s real-world development, the part most people don’t talk about. This is real-world development, the stuff you don’t see on social media.
If you’re a mum and dad developer who wants to:
• Avoid costly finance mistakes
• Understand how council and policy changes can impact your project
• Build resilience when things don’t go to plan
• And become a better investor with every dealThen you need to hear Jason’s story.
Because in property development, it’s not the easy deals that make you - it’s the tough ones.
And the lessons from this one could save you tens of thousands on your next project.
This is your chance to talk property with other enthusiasts!
See you all soon!
