Proud Asian Men is a support group and men's mental health collective hosted under Asian Mental Health Project in collaboration with JinShan Collective whose mission is to create a safe and brave space for Asian men to explore the intersection of their culture and masculinity in a supportive environment.
This is a space to meet other Asian men have real conversations and spend a few hours together without having to perform, explain, or have everything figured out
We'll have some guided conversations, movement, meditation, and plenty of room to see where the afternoon takes us. You don't need to be "good" at any of it. Just come as you are.
This gathering grows out of Proud Asian Men (PAM) founded by Leo Xia (he/him) in Pasadena, CA., a community and support space for Asian men exploring culture, masculinity, identity, relationships, and mental health. After years of these conversations happening in other spaces and cities, we're excited to bring that energy to San Diego and build an official chapter here.
Noel Garcia (he/him), a San Diego resident, will be leading the SD gathering, with Leo and the broader PAM community helping shape what comes next.
Whether you've been part of PAM before or this is your first time hearing about us, you are more than welcome.
