The Birdcage with Queers & Beers of Rhode Island

Last year for Pride Month, we partnered with Queers & Beers of Rhode Island for an outdoor screening of But I'm a Cheerleader at ISCO Spirits. It was a super fun event, so we wanted to do another collab for 2026. And here it is!

In The Birdcage, a gay cabaret owner (Robin Williams) and his drag queen companion (Nathan Lane) agree to put up a false straight front so that their son can introduce them to his fiancé’s right-wing moralistic parents (Gene Hackman and Dianne Wiest).

Join us on Thursday, June 18th for our The Birdcage event with Queers & Beers of Rhode Island! The event will start at 7:00pm for people to mingle and have some drinks. Then the movie will start around 8:00ish.

Last year's screening was pretty packed, so if you have your own chair, I highly recommend bringing it. As a reminder, this will be an outdoor screening in the ISCO courtyard. No tickets required but maybe buy a drink or two to support ISCO. See you then!
