What we’re about
The Psilocybin Assisted Therapy Association (PATA) is a tax-exempt volunteer based nonprofit with a mission to promote the advancement of psilocybin-assisted therapy (PAT) to address the mental health crisis. Our goals are to educate and empower seekers, facilitators/guides, and licensed mental health providers (LMHP) to become educated about their options and expand their community to collaborate with each other for the seekers mental health goals.
In this group you will:
- Learn best practices from leading professionals in the psychedelic and mental health space.
- Expand your community by engaging with others interested in using psychedelics and specifically psilocybin in a mental health context.
- Reduce stigma and misinformation to coalesce around addressing the mental health crisis.
- Learn about your options and be educated about the state supported and non-state supported programs.
With the legalization of adult supported use of psilocybin in Oregon, Colorado, and other areas, we want to help professionals understand the realities and limitations of these programs to better inform your practice.
Seekers, those looking for assistance, can learn about options and what to look for to create your collaborative team and expand your community.
We invite professionals and seekers to join us for educational discussions designed to expand your knowledge and to learn from each other. Learn about our PAT Model and ask questions about how you can be a part of this new mental health movement.
Personal psychedelic experience is not required, needed, or encouraged.
While our focus is on psilocybin, our model and knowledge can be applied to other psychedelics. This group will not discuss how to attain any illegal substances and cannot be used to solicit for any controlled substance.
We hope you'll join us and feel free to reach out to us at info@pata-us.org with any questions. Thanks!
