Bringing Light into the Darkness Part #3: The Therapeutic Dose

Details
Title: Bringing Light into the Darkness #3
Introducing the Therapeutic Dose: Bridging science and experience for mental health.
When: April 2, Wednesday. 6 - 7:15 PM PT
Much focus has been spent on micro-dosing and the other end the dosage range, macro and heroic doses.
Both have their advantages and disadvantages as it relates to mental health. However, there is another option that is underrepresented and may be a better option for those looking to address mental health and safety concerns, the mini/therapeutic dose.
With psilocybin-assisted therapy research being still in its infancy, we can still learn best practices and see real life results from those directly helping clients and individuals who are looking to use psilocybin to address mental health concerns.
Now, with state programs that measure dosages in the amount of psilocybin present compared to dried weight, the variables can be even more challenging for the general public, and professionals, to understand proper dosing.
In this training we will hear from a panel of speakers who are focusing their work and knowledge on psilocybin dosages that reduce adverse effects and promote healing.
We will explore:
- Why some licensed mental health professionals are encouraging lower perceptible doses for optimal therapeutic outcomes.
- How some of the most effective licensed Oregon Psilocybin Services (OPS) service centers are discouraging larger doses and promoting mini-doses for safety concerns.
- What licensed OPS manufacturers are learning about alternative options for measuring the effectiveness of psilocybin.
- Safety concerns being presented by licensed facilitators who sit with clients wanting larger doses.
- Dosages: Why starting low and going slow while emphasizing the preparation and wellness of the seeker leads to greater outcomes.
This is your opportunity to educate and empower yourself about dosing options that promote safety and healing by those on the front line of healing.
****Bringing Light into the Darkness Part 1 & Part 2 are available on our YouTube Channel.
Panel:
Ryan Reid: Ryan has been at the forefront of Oregon’s legal and licensed psilocybin movement, contributing to the early adoption and establishment of two of the first licensed service centers within the state. His journey began with a personal connection to the therapeutic benefits of psilocybin combined with ongoing talk therapy and mindfulness meditation. This foundation led him to co-found Bendable Therapy in early 2023, a non-profit dedicated to providing access and scholarships for individuals seeking psilocybin services to support their mental health goals. Ryan has been an active facilitator since the inception of Bendable Therapy, guiding participants through their transformative journeys.
Harrison Bernard: Licensed Oregon Psilocybin Services manufacturer, and psilocybin researcher.
Jenna Kluwe: I'm Jenna, a therapist-turned-coach with a passion to help folks with psychedelics and Borderline Personality Disorder. In 2006 I graduated from Central Michigan University with my Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling and went on to work in a variety of settings including hospitals, a county jail, a community mental health center, and private practice. I have been trained by the Beck Institute in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and by BTech, LLC in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I got certified as a psychedelic integration coach, converted my counseling practice into a life/wellness coaching practice (Nature’s Path Coaching and Consulting), opened a separate practice (Inner Dimensions Integration, LLC) to provide psychedelic preparation and integration coaching, and retired from counseling. I am now back to solo practice where my main focuses are my clients and educating and advocating for use of psychedelics for folks with Borderline Personality Disorder. I am also a part time instructor for Emerald Valley Institute where I teach the history of psychedelics, safety and ethics, and administration.
