Event description:
Are you a licensed psilocybin facilitator looking to better understand labeling and dosing? Do you feel a bit overwhelmed by terms like, 'Total equivalent psilocybin or total potential psilocin'? Are you confused about how to convert mg/gram of psilocybin to how many grams of product to get the required dose for your clients? Do you need help on how to read the labels? You are not alone! This workshop is designed to provide invaluable information for facilitators in the Oregon Psilocybin Program, service center owners, and manufacturers.
This Advanced Dosing Workshop will cover:
• New recommendations by OHA on total potential psilocin labeling.
• Review what we have learned so far in regards to dosing with milligrams of psilocybin vs grams of mushrooms.
• Strains being used and how they are prepared
• Tryptamine percentages and what their total potential psilocybin are
• Consistency in terminology
• Patterns and Experiences
Starting at 5:35 PM, a short 15-20 minute lab tour & demo will be available for those who wish to observe the testing process.

Join Dan Huson, Owner of Rose City Laboratories, as he reviews the psilocybin testing process and results, focusing on the content of psilocin and psilocybin and the conversion and breakdown of these compounds. He will help attendees understand labels, including how to interpret content and dosage information. Participants will learn what lab analysis information manufacturers are required to include on their labels, such as total psilocin content and other compounds, and why this information is essential for understanding dosing. Daniel’s expansive capacity for helping others is second nature in many areas of his life. This attitude has carried over into various community engagements and professional expansions, particularly with testing safety, health and wellness, and psychedelic studies. He started Rose City Labs in 2012, with an emphasis on safety and environmental wellness. RCL is currently the only licensed laboratory testing for Psilocybin in Oregon.
Also presenting, is Jenna Kluwe, MA, Portland-based Psilocybin Integration Coach and expert in Borderline Personality Disorder and psilocybin with over 15 years of experience. In Part 2 of our presentation, Jenna will discuss medication interactions that have been witnessed at the service centers and what this means for helping choose the best dose. She will also be discussing the topic of therapeutic dosing ranges, including examples of differences between strains, variations in psilocin content, duration and patterns of experiences plus descriptive characteristics.
After years of learning about what a powerful tool psychedelics can be for mental health and transformation, Jenna decided to expand her knowledge by switching to a completely different field: Psychedelic Integration Coaching. Currently, she is an instructor at the Emerald Valley Institute.
Looking ahead, Rose City Laboratories will continue to host small events at the lab, open to facilitators and other industry professionals. We embrace the opportunity to share the testing process and educate others with - interesting information and knowledge about psilocybin and Oregon's psilocybin program. These workshops will continue quarterly throughout the year with the intention of helping fulfill part of the OPS Continuing Education requirements beginning in 2026.
