Online Group Discussion: Taking psychedelics during a pandemic

Details

Psychedelic use has been steadily increasing for decades but some experts suspect the rate at which Americans are consuming LSD has tripled since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. These are truly difficult times and the trauma our species is experiencing will take hard work and lots of time to recover. However, during these difficult times there is also an opportunity to learn from the situation and grow stronger, more aware, and deepen our understating of ourselves. With the stay at home orders and unhealthy amounts of smoke, what better time to explore the far corners of our minds and expand our consciousness.

Taking psychedelics can be an intense and potentially hazardous experience in any situation, especially now with all the extra stress. For our first online discussion, we will be talking about the pro's and con's of tripping during these chaotic times. I'm curious to hear about other's psychedelic experiences in the past few months and I'm excited to share some of mine. I also want to talk about precautions for tripping alone and how to be a good trip sitter, both in person and remotely. It's been a while since we've met so I'm really looking forward to "seeing" everyone again, even if it is through a webcam. If you're around this Thursday afternoon, join our first Zoom meeting for an interesting discussion about tripping during a pandemic. I hope to see you there!

DISCLAIMER: This will not be an illegal meetup to buy and sell illegal drugs. Safety and privacy are extremely important to each researcher.
