Meditating for the Psychedelic Journey

Details

Join us on the 3rd Thursday of each month for a group seated meditation and community discussion for the preparation and integration of psychedelic journeys.

During each session, we'll sit in quiet meditation (~30mins) followed by guided community discussion. Topics are centered around settling deeper into inner peace, the role psychedelics can play in that focus or not, and challenges encountered and triumphs rewarded before, during and after journeying and while continuing to aim towards the experience of peace within.

All are invited to sit on either the floor or chairs. Feel free to bring whatever meditation cushions, pillows, and props you wish to make yourself comfortable. There will be a few bolsters and yoga mats available for use. However, participants are encouraged to bring their own. As with all events, please plan to arrive early or on-time so we can begin promptly.

NOTE: This event is also posted elsewhere on Meetup, where others besides here have RSVP'd to it.

The Host
Scott was 15 when he was introduced to his first psychedelic journey, during which he was opened to a blissful state of consciousness beyond the mind and senses. When he was 16, he was taught some simple meditation techniques that allowed him to tap into a peaceful state within himself on a daily basis and that he has been able to use ever since to join in fully with all that the psychedelic journey has to offer.

In the decades since learning these techniques, Scott has participated in and led countless sessions focusing attention on the breath that is at the core of all existence and that can lend peace, contentment and stability not only to the psychedelic journey but also everyday life.
