Round 2: The Triune Brain

Details
The Triune Brain:
Mammalian brains can be looked at as being Triune-- composed of three major parts-- which are the brainstem (reptilian brain), the limbic System which is atop that, and then the neocortex which is the outer component, The brain stem controls autonomic processes and reflexes (essentially the brain functions you see in reptiles), the Limbic system has memory and emotional regulation components and can be found in animals who raise their young (necessary for attachment), and the neocortex is the planning and executive functioning/thinking part.
We will talk about these regions, their functions, evolutionary processes, and how this affects the way we perceive stimuli and how our responses bounce around and impact the way we experience and react to our reality.
