What we’re about
Hi, I’m Santos,
Some of you might know me from NYC Animal Rights, but now that I’m in Putnam Valley, I’m starting something new — something small, real, and rooted in community.
I don’t know exactly what this group will grow into yet, and honestly, that’s the exciting part.
What I do know is this:
I want to meet local people who care about animals.
I want to share food, conversation, and ideas.
And I want to organize a handful of peaceful, creative demos that make people stop, think, and feel.
This group is for anyone who believes animals deserve more than the world gives them — vegans, activists, the plant-curious, the justice-minded, and anyone who’s tired of feeling like they’re the only one out here who cares.
We’ll start with a vegan potluck meetup, get to know each other, and see where our collective energy takes us — outreach, vigils, marches, art-based demos, or any other form of compassionate disruption.
No pressure. No prerequisites.
Just humans coming together for animals.
If that sounds like your kind of community, welcome.
Let’s build something meaningful in Putnam Valley — together.

Jill's Day
Location not specified yet## Jill’s Day — In Her Honor
February 1 2026
Join us for a gathering of Putnam Valley Animal Rights, held in honor of Jill Phipps, the UK activist who lost her life protecting baby calves. This meetup is simple, warm, and open-ended — a chance to meet each other and see what this group can grow into.
We’ll have:
- Light vegan snacks by the fireplace
- A short tribute to Jill
- Casual conversation about future potlucks, demos, and ideas
- No pressure, no agenda — just community, compassion, and connection.
