What we’re about
The Putney Social Group is friendly and welcomes people from all over London (and indeed the World). We organise a variety of Social Events every month, usually in Putney but we do go further afield too.
Events we regularly run include…
**Our very Popular "New Members make lots of new Friends Night" - Where you get a chance to meet lots of new people in one evening! You are seated with 4 people to chat for 15-20 mins, then (a bit like musical chairs) everyone gets up and moves to another table to meet another group of 4 people. Then we keep swapping the groups around every 15-20 Minutes, to give you the best chance to meet lots of people in 1 night.
**Social Meet Ups - Where we try to reserve a separate area for the group to come together in a pub and meet other Putney Social members.
**We also run a monthly Co-Working Day for Freelancers on the last Friday of the month.
**In the summer months we have our Social Meet Ups by the river next to Putney cinema and attract 60-100 people.

Any member in our group can suggest events and we welcome certainly new ideas. We're currently thinking about wine tasting and maybe a secret cinema event, so do join the group.

We hope to see you at an event soon. All the best Daniel and the Putney Social team.

Boat Trip to Greenwich & Social! No Organiser Fee!
Would you like to join Putney Social Group on an Uber Thames Clippers boat trip from Putney Pier to Greenwich and then go for a drink at the Prince of Greenwich pub afterwards?!
PLEASE NOTE: Photographs of the event's attendees will be taken and posted on Meetup. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let the event's organiser know on arrival.
We will meet at Putney Pier at 2:15pm.
The Uber boat will be leaving at 2:30pm. Please ensure you’re at the pier before this time!
The boat trip will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes to get to Greenwich.
On arriving, we will walk for approximately 20 minutes to the Prince of Greenwich pub for a drink and a chat!
By way of information, the nearest DLR and train station is Greenwich which is about a ten minute walk from the pub. Unfortunately, Cutty Sark DLR station is closed for maintenance work at the moment.
Please note: As the landing port bridge does not have step-free access due to maintenance work taking place at the moment, unfortunately this event is therefore unsuitable for wheelchair users.
For further information on the pub, please go to:
https://www.theprinceofgreenwichpub.com/
By way of information, only on the phone app, the fee for the boat trip is £18.25 for a one-way ticket. There is also a concessionary rate of £9.10 for people who meet the eligibility criteria. Please check the Thames Clippers website for further information and clarification. Please note, if you pay at the pier on the ticket machine or on the boat, the price will be more expensive for a one-way ticket.
If you wish to pay by the phone app, I would strongly advise installing it and setting up a user account before arriving at the pier. You will have to set yourself up with a username and password by using your phone to do so. Unfortunately this cannot be done on the company's website as there are no facilities for this.
To download the phone app, please go to:
https://www.thamesclippers.com/commuters/download-the-tickets-app
Please see the following website for further general boat trip information:
https://www.thamesclippers.com/
Please note: It is the responsibility of each attendee to look after their valuables.
Looking forward to seeing you!
