Kevin Kindle: Personal AI Agent Security
Keiser University, 6430 Southpoint Pkwy, Jacksonville, FL, USPersonal AI Agent Security
This session investigates open-source personal AI agents with a focus
on security, looking at how tools like Open Claw and Hermes are
changing the way we work and the risks they introduce. We will walk
through a live demonstration of these personal agents in action,
highlighting their autonomous features alongside the security and
privacy trade-offs that come with granting an AI direct access to your
personal data, web browser, and local machine. We will discuss how security is natively configured within these
personal frameworks and examine what potential controls can be layered
in to help reduce risk. The presentation will also create space for group discussion and
shared learning around how teams are thinking about agentic workflow
security more broadly. Attendees are encouraged to exchange ideas,
challenges, and emerging practices for utilizing autonomous personal
agents effectively while managing risk.Speaker Info:
Kevin has worked in information security in FinTech for the last 7
years, focusing in Application Security, Red Teaming and more recently
AI Security. His current focus areas include secure design patterns
for AI systems, AI security testing and AI for offensive security.Meeting will be in person at Keiser University in the 1st floor Auditorium and streamed online. This event is both in person and online:

Mini Project and Speech Night
Keiser University, 6430 Southpoint Pkwy, Jacksonville, FL, USSpeakers: TBD
The Mini Speech Night is a speaker event designed to encourage the following:
- Those who have either never spoken in front of an audience
- Those who need more practice speaking in front of an audience to come and speak.
This is for fun. Think of it as IT Project show and tell. No it does not have to be python! Short "Lightning" presentations of your new coding, raspberry pi, hardware project, 3-D Printer build, server builds, art, blender, 3-D modeling, hardware hacking, lifehacking, etc. project. Show us the code you are working on. Tell us about it for 5-20 minutes! And if you are stuck, ask the group for help!
All you need is a topic (any topic, it does not have to be tech related) that you are comfortable speaking on for 5-20 minutes. This way you can practice speaking in front of your peers in a low risk environment.
We can do an online meeting for mini speeches as requested. However, if a presenter does not feel like being recorded for the online portion, we will not stream their section.
We appreciate Keiser University hosting us! We will have food provided by Rajesh and me! As always the meeting is hybrid, both in person and online. If you know anyone wishing to sponsor food, let us know!
