Details

There will be two talks this months:

Gisu David Ham will be presenting:
Creating a GUI application with Python - PDF merger for windows - demonstrate how to make a simple pdf merger tool complete with graphical user interface (gui) using tkinter and PyPDF2.

Murad Mohammed will be presenting:
Intelligent Wellhead Systems Optimizes Secure Real-Time Wellsite Data - how the company plans to use Python.

Doors will open shortly before 6 and the meetup is on the 4th floor. If you come in earlier than 6pm the entrance is open and you can go to the 4th floor. If you come in later than 6pm, there should be someone at the entrance to open the door, or call the number on the door. There will be pizza and mingling, and we’ll also give away a free PyCharm license courtesy of JetBrains. Then the talk should start around 6:30.

There is a City of Calgary parking lot just north of Assembly at 203 - 14 St NW. Parking is $2 if you arrive after 6:00 p.m.

We are actively seeking additional sponsors and organizers. If you are working for a company that uses Python and would like to support the local community and/or advertise jobs to 1000+ people, please email organizers@pyyyc.org. If you’d like to help organize — show up a bit early and offer to help out.
