Details
PyDataMCR July!
Two events in two months! We're well and truly back. This month we're hosted by AutoTrader.
THE TALKS
**Race Against the Machine - Ruth Whelan-Jeans - https://www.linkedin.com/in/ruth-whelan-jeans-7327b215b/**
At the end of 2020 the world was not only grappling with a pandemic, but a complete scarcity of ps5s. The search term "scalper bots" rocketed from general obscurity and into the global spotlight, exposing a lucrative resell market and igniting public interest.
But the issue of unwanted bot activity runs far deeper than the stock levels of popular consoles. Bots are commonly used to commit fraud, take down infrastructure and skew analytics. These problems can become huge headaches for consumers and businesses, and as bots become more prevalent so does the need for methods of identification and mitigation.
In this session, we'll learn more about the tactics of these malicious actors and what real time data science solutions can be deployed to stop them.
Lightning Talks!
We want you to get involved, share 5-10 minutes on an open source data topic of your choice! No preparation necessary! We look forward to hearing what you've got to share
