Ever thought about getting into consulting? Ever wondered about whether you're ready, or how to get there? Or what does consulting even looks like from day to day?

This is the panel session for you!

We have 4 brilliant consultants with 4 different consulting journeys, and representing 4 different consultancies.

We'll start off asking you, our audience, some questions that you can answer via Slid.o (anonymously if you prefer). Your answers to our questions will help inform our panelists as to any themes regarding concerns or worries and unknowns folks have around consulting as a career path.

Then we'll dive into our panel session, getting an intro from each panelist, and then asking them questions you pose via Slido.

Grace Wilding, Apprentice Software Engineer at CapGemini
Grace works in AI & Analytics at Capgemini as a Digital and Technology Solutions degree apprentice via Aston University's Digital and Technology Solutions BSc Degree Apprenticeship.
Grace is a committee member and Race and Equality Network Champion for OUTfront at Capgemini, whose mission is to provide a forum for education and awareness supporting the professional growth and recognition of LGBT+ people.

Dr. Mary Guettel, Senior Principal Consultant | Data & Analytics at Slalom
Mary is a Senior Principal Consultant at tech and business consultancy firm Slalom. She leads the Data Science capability for Slalom, helping organisations make the most of their data using advanced analytics. Previously she was Head of Analytics at FTSE 250 retailer. She has background in Computational Mathematics and holds a PhD in Numerical Analysis from The University of Manchester. Mary is an Ambassador for Women in Data and actively supports the representation of women in all data professions.

Tom Liptrot, Founder of Ortom Ltd, Data Scientist | Machine Learning Engineer | AI Consultant | Startup Adviser
Tom is a data scientist, machine learning engineer, business consultant and statistician, with experience in several sectors including healthcare, retail, and tech. At Ortom, he helps companies work out where to use AI, and then builds the systems that will do it. He trains and mentors existing teams and helps build and manage new teams.

Dr. Jennifer Stark, Data Scientist / Data Engineer Associate at Equal Experts
Jennifer is an Associate Data Scientist and Data Engineer at global tech consultancy Equal Experts. Jennifer has built sustainable, resilient and scalable product pipelines for a large retail group, and is now working with a Social Enterprise start-up to deliver an AI solution to eradicate child labour from supply chains. Previously, she was Lead Data Engineer at LADbible Group managing a small but incredible team to deliver social media data pipelines for marketing and performance analytics.
