# PyData Wolverhampton - April 2026: Building a Live RAG System

Join us for our 2nd PyData Wolverhampton meetup as we dive into building real-world AI systems with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

## What to Expect:

Watch AI being built in real-time! This event features a live demonstration where we'll build a production-ready RAG system from the ground up. Perfect for anyone who wants to see how modern AI applications actually work behind the scenes.
Talk: "Building a Production RAG System: Live Demo"
Speaker: Akinyemi (Ezekiel) Arabambi (AI Researcher, Tech Industry Specialist)
Akinyemi will walk through building a complete RAG system live, covering:

  • What RAG is and why it matters
  • Setting up the architecture
  • Connecting to data sources
  • Building the retrieval mechanism
  • Integrating with Large Language Models
  • Real-world implementation challenges

This is a hands-on demonstration - you'll see exactly how to build AI systems that work with your own data.
