💡 Holger Pannhorst, Balint Badonfai and Bernd Kampe - NLP Challenges in Government Agencies
Introducing the insides from Bundesdruckerei's work in the public area.
Why NLP and Python development when dealing with government agencies? Explore use cases related to text processing and working with documents.
👨💻 Holger (he/him) is a data and analytics generalist with a strong focus on data science and machine learning, with more than 12 years experience in this area. He has been building strong and powerful data and analytics teams for various companies for 8 years. After years in the Berlin startup area, he entered the public sector in order to work on more meaningful products and projects.
👨💻 Balint (he/him) is a tech lead at Bundesdruckerei with a focus on creating AI-Infused applications. Passionate about solving real-life business problems with data and creating production-level solutions.
👨💻 Bernd (he/him) is a data scientist and NLP specialist at Bundesdruckerei, who switched to Python when the Deep Learning boom began. Originally a bioinformatician, he turned computational linguist later and uses his skills to scale up text analysis tasks.

✨ Frie Preu - Data4Good: Using your Data Science Skills for the Social Good
Present the work of CorrelAid, a Data4Good network with over 2000 data science enthusiasts, some of their Python projects that they have done with nonprofit organizations and sketch out how you can get involved in their network. The focus would be more about the impact of the projects than the technical details.
👩💻 Frie (they/them) is a data scientist / low-budget data engineer / coding person / data4gooder from Germany. Since 2020, they have been working as COO for CorrelAid, a Data4Good network of over 2000 data scientists where they're in charge of Data4Good project coordination, developing tools and maintaining the technical infrastructure. Frie has a background in political science and data science and worked in IT consulting for two years. Besides that, they also enjoy being outdoors (hiking, exploring), being indoors (being lazy), taking photos of things and eating good food. They used to be quite active on Twitter, but have retired to mostly retweeting memes and cute animals.
