The agent coworker has gone mainstream. Open Claw started it, Hermes pushed it further, and Claude Tag made "agentic teammate" a phrase everyone suddenly uses. But most of these tools are built for general knowledge work, which means they were never shaped around how data scientists actually operate.

Join PyMC Labs for a live look at what agentic teammates really look like for data science teams: where the tools stand today, the questions the hype skips over, and how an agent that lives in your team chat can take you from dataset to insight without the endless alt-tabbing.

Then we'll introduce Daimon, the agent coworker we've run across our entire remote company for a year. It pulls datasets, reproduces papers in our own libraries, fixes failing CI, spins up sandboxes, and handles the context-switching grunt work that eats a data scientist's day, all from the channel you already work in. You'll see it work live, and leave knowing exactly how to put an agent teammate to work on your own stack.

What you'll take away

  • A clear map of the current agent landscape and how the major frameworks actually differ
  • The questions that matter once an agent acts as a teammate, like what it's allowed to see and what access it carries
  • A live look at Daimon handling real data science work end-to-end
  • A concrete path to try an agent coworker with your own team

Who should join
Data scientists, ML engineers, and technical leads who are curious about agentic workflows, tired of context-switching, or trying to figure out where these tools fit on a real team.

๐Ÿ“œ Outline of Talk / Agenda:

  • 5 min: Introduction to PyMC Labs and speakers
  • 40 min: Panel discussion
  • 15 min: Q&A

-------------------------------------------------
๐Ÿ’ผ About the speakers:

Dr. Thomas Wiecki ( Founder of PyMC Labs)
co-author of PyMC, the leading platform for statistical data science. To help businesses solve some of their trickiest data science problems, he assembled a world-class team of Bayesian modelers and founded PyMC Labs - the Bayesian AI consultancy. He did his PhD at Brown University studying cognitive neuroscience.

Carlos Sandoval (AI Engineer at PyMC Labs)
Carlos builds agent infrastructure and organizational operating systems where context drives action. His background spans autonomous systems, full-stack platform development, and process automation across sales, marketing, and software development.

He is currently focused on many-to-many agent-user applications, BYOA infrastructure, and how context adoption changes the way organizations operate.
