The Kubernetes Operator pattern is the standard way to extend the Kubernetes capabilities. Natively Operators are written in Golang, but, since Python's best feature is the rapid feedback it gives you when developing, let's see how to improve our development experience using Kopf and Kwok.

👤 Cesare has been around in software development for a while and currently he is more involved in this DevOps thing for telecommunication called 5G. He's always been a fan of Linux and Python and nowadays his quest is to interview all the Italian Pythonistas.

🧠 Vision Architectures on Edge Devices

The vision systems, both based on "classical" and "neural" algorithms,
after development/training, must be inserted in an adequate software architecture to be deployed.

Some vision applications are deployed to run on edge-devices, without the possibility to interact with the cloud runners, thus constrained to execute all the algorithms locally, eventually fulfilling execution time constraints. In this setting, what software architectures are best suited to offer a solution to the application requirements?

We will try to give some answers to this question, reviewing a few literature works, and exploiting some of our experiences on the field.

👤 Gabriele was born as a passionate developer and technology enthusiast. During his PhD study, he discovered the machine-learning and computer-vision world. After a free-lance period, on 2016 founded ARGO Vision with his friend Alessandro Ferrari. Now he works in the pharmaceutcal field with the SEA Vision company. After more than 20 years of professional work, as when he started, he continues to be a development and technology enthusiast.
