About us
The Python User Group in Belgium is a community of Python enthusiasts who come together to learn, share, and discuss all things Python. Members of the group range from beginner to advanced levels, and everyone is welcome to join. The group meets on a regular basis to learn from presentations and workshops, share their own experiences and projects, and network with other members. In the future, the group might also host regular events such as hackathons and coding competitions, to promote Python and its uses. Whether you are a seasoned developer or just starting out with Python, the Python User Group in Belgium is the place to be for anyone interested in the language.
The focus is on knowledge sharing and community building, commercial intents are frowned upon. All events are entirely free-of-charge.

Python User Group meetup #15
Lighthouse, Zuiderpoort, Gasten Crommenlaan 6, Ghent, BEWe’re very happy to announce the fifteenth Python User Group meetup! 🚀 🐍
This time the event will take place in Ghent 🎉! Big thanks to Lighthouse for kindly hosting the event 👏👏 !
We are still formalizing the agenda, but we already have two confirmed talks:
- Ahmed Khalaf, Lieven Van Acker and Pieter De Ridder, from our friends at Just Russel 🐶 will show how they are migrating from a monolith backend application to a domain-driven application, splitting the different business domains using the separation of concerns principle.
- Ana Escobar (blog) will talk about one of her personal projects ⛑️: a dual-purpose system designed for both predictive maintenance and real-time health monitoring. The main focus will be on the ingestion of the data from a Raspberry Pi into Kafka, and how this was achieved with MicroPython and Confluent Cloud.
