Hosted by Q Fitness and Wellness, Charlotte’s only LGBTQ+ gym, the Q Fitness Run and Hike Club is a welcoming space for movement, connection, and joy. This club is designed for every level - whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, someone who just loves a good walk, or you're joining us for a scenic hike. Come build confidence, meet new friends, and be part of a supportive community that celebrates all bodies and all paces!

We meet every Saturday at 8:00 AM at Q Fitness and Wellness (3508 The Plaza, Charlotte, NC 28205). Participants can choose from 1-mile, 3-mile, or 5-mile routes through the Plaza-Shamrock neighborhood, so there’s always an option that fits how you want to move that day! Our run club meets every week with no attendance limits, so even if the event appears full or you don’t see a new listing for a particular week, we’re still running! When you join us, we’ll add you to our WhatsApp group where we share schedule updates, running tips, and other community events.

In addition to our weekly runs, we host a monthly group hike designed for all abilities. These hikes are a chance to slow down, enjoy nature, and explore local trails together in a low-pressure, supportive environment! Dates and locations are announced in our the events tab on our Meetup page as well as our WhatsApp group! We can wait to move with you all!

    April Group Hike

    Crowders Mountain - Boulders Access, 108 Van Dyke Road, Kings Mountain, NC, US

    We're exploring outside the Charlotte Area for this month's hike, and taking a trip out to Crowders Mountain!

    Join us for the Dixon School Boulders Trail for a 2.3-mile hike (there and back). From the AllTrails description: "Winding through the foothills of Crowders Mountain State Park, this loop explores a dense hardwood forest filled with massive, moss-covered monadnocks. Characterized by its unique geological formations and primitive woodland atmosphere, this trail provides a rugged immersion into the ancient, stony landscape of the Piedmont."

    We’ll meet at the Crowders Mountain Boulders Access Area Parking Lot (108 Vandyke Rd, Kings Mountain, NC 28086) at 10:00 AM, and begin our hike promptly at 10:15 AM, so please plan accordingly. Crowders Mountain is located about 45 minutes from Q Fitness and Wellness in Kings Mountain, but is well worth the drive! Be sure to bring comfortable, broken-in shoes, water, snacks and clothes you can move in. Dogs are welcome, but must be leashed. If you’d like, you can track your hike with Strava or AllTrails!

    IMPORTANT: This event may appear full, but all are welcome to join us for the hike! There is not an attendance limit for this event. Please feel free to join the waitlist if you'd like, but know that you are welcome regardless of your registration status.
