About us
We’ll organize the first QA Meet Up for women and non-binary persons in Finland! Women & Non-binaries in QA is a space where people can meet, share experiences, and talk about the IT field from these perspectives. We also want to offer a forum for discussing demanding expert topics from a quality assurance point of view. Our aim is to bring QA professionals together, and VALA wants to take an active role in this work.

Women & Non-binaries in QA
VALA's Office, Erottajankatu 11 B, Helsinki, FIWelcome to the meetup Women & Non-binaries in QA! The event offers a supportive and safe space for women, non-binary people, and anyone in IT who does not identify as a man. The aim is to build community, share practical knowledge, and deep dive to quality assurance. It is also a place for open conversations about IT work and improving inclusion in the industry.
The purpose of the event is to have a sociable evening and our theme for this event is Cyber Security in Quality Assurance. You’ll meet VALA’s Seyda Baysal (Test Automation Developer) and Erika Laamanen (Test Automation Developer). This time we’ll have a short introduction to Cyber Security in QA which follows a 1,5 hour long workshop in two groups. You don’t need to bring your own computer for this workshop.
Whether you’re already working with software quality assurance looking for new aspects in cyber security or completely new to these themes - this event is for you! Anyone interested in networking with like minded people and learning about QA and cyber security, is welcome!

This meetup will be hosted by VALA at their Erottaja office.
Your hosts from VALA will be Anni Paro. This event will be held in English.VALA’s office, Erottajankatu 11 B, 3rd floor, 00130 Helsinki. You’ll find the entrance on the courtyard. At the door, you’ll find a door buzzer labeled “VALA”.
