Join us on March 15, 2017 at the Institute for the Future (http://www.iftf.org/home/) for an exciting evening of self-tracking presentations, tool demonstrations, and conversation about the Quantified Self.
We're thrilled to be able to have our meeting in this productive space. Come to connect with friends, meet new people, check out tools, and learn from personal self-tracking stories. Please RSVP as soon as you can.
Along with our regular Show&Talks we're going to have a special presentation and Q&A with Mike Snyder, one of the most interesting and innovative scientists currently using self-collected data to make new discoveries. A recently published paper out of Mike's lab: Tracking Physiomes and Activity Using Wearable Biosensors Reveals Useful Health-Related Information (http://journals.plos.org/plosbiology/article?id=10.1371/journal.pbio.2001402), by Xiao Li, Jessilyn Dunn, and Denis Salins, uses two years of Mike's extremely detailed self-tracking data (backed up with group research) to show how heart rate data can predict sickness before symptoms appear.
The easiest way to get here via public transportation is by Caltrain (http://www.caltrain.com/main.html), via the Palo Alto Station (http://www.caltrain.com/stations/paloaltostation.html) which is two blocks away from our offices.

Free parking in the downtown area is available on the street, in off-street parking lots, and in parking garages. Two-hour parking is provided in on-street spaces and in surface lots. Three-hour parking is provided in parking garages except in designated permit areas. Enforcement of parking regulations is conducted Monday through Friday between 8 am and 5 pm.
6:00-7:00 pm SOCIAL HOUR & DEMOS
As always, we'll start with healthy snacks and drinks and an informal demo and social hour. If you are making something useful for self-trackers – software, hardware, web services, or data standards – you are welcome to demo during the social hour. Please let us know in advance if you want to participate.
7:00 pm – 8:30 pm IGNITE+ SHOW&TELLS
QS Show&Tell talks always answer our three prime questions: What did you do? How did you do it? What did you learn? These talks will be in our "Ignite+" format: 30 slides of 15 seconds each, with Q&A after. They have 7.5 minutes for slides and a few minutes for questions. The slides automatically advance every 15 seconds, so you get 30 slides. If you have a self-tracking project that you are willing to share, please let us know in your RSVP.
8:30 - 9:00 pm SOCIAL
Talk to the speakers, chat with friends, ask other people what they're tracking, hang out and have a great time.
The venue for this Show&Tell is generously being provided by our friends at IFTF. (https://www.wework.com/locations/san-francisco/mid-market) If you or your company are interested in sponsoring Quantified Self, or hosting a future Show&Tell at your office, please let us know ([masked]).
Thank you and see you there!
