Join Queens Libertarians (in its speaker event for LPQC) to hear Chair John Clifton lead a group talk on September 9 in a special meeting on the question "Who Will the LP Nominate for President in 2024?" We will test out our new Woodside location at Donovan's Pub on Roosevelt Ave at noon, in the family room area (this will be a run down of the announced contenders, with an exchange of ideas by attendees on the current path, or state of the LP in the US). This discussion will follow the monthly business session, covering Queens LP housekeeping and subcommittee updates.

Clifton et al will overview the officially declared candidates Chase Oliver, Lars Mapstead, and Mike ter Maat, then cover the potential or local candidacies of favorite sons like NY's Dave Smith and Larry Sharpe. The issue of obtaining ballot status for LPNY in spring 2024 will also be discussed. If you yourself are running, come by and tell us about your plans!
-------------------------------

While we may pass the hat, there is no mandatory donation. However, all attendees must purchase $10.00 or more in food and drink over the two hour period (don't forget to tip!). There is street parking and the place is centrally located. You can travel there by taking the 7 subway train, or M32 bus to the 61 St station along Roosevelt Ave, and walk 3 blocks to the corner of 58th St and Roosevelt Ave. Other buses in the 61 St area include the Q18, Q53 and Q70. You can also take the LIRR to the Woodside station (which also stops at the 7 train station).
