About us
Hi there, my name is Chuan. I’m starting an LGBTQIA+ bouldering interest group to create a supportive space for LGBTQIA+ folks to enjoy climbing together.
We’ll be meeting regularly on the third Wednesday of every month, 2–4pm at Boulder+ (Aperia Mall). We start at two but feel free to come by anytime within the two hours.
This is for LGBTQIA+ folks of all experience levels (whether you’re completely new to climbing or already have some experience) to climb together and share in the small joys and progress that come with climbing.
You definitely don’t need to be “fit”, “strong”, or “athletic” to join. there are routes for all levels, and the focus is on having fun, moving at your own pace, and supporting one another.
I understand that everyone’s comfort level with being out is different. I’ll be wearing a shirt with the letters “QJC” on the back, so feel free to just come say hi. You can also message me directly on this Meetup platform if that feels easier.
I have purchased a class pack for entry passes at $22 per pax (instead of $32). So you can share my class pack. But if you’re facing financial constraints, I’m happy to share my class pack with you FOC (don’t need paiseh yeah :) ).
Shoe rentals are available at 6 dollars and socks are sold at 2 dollars (you can wear your own socks).
