What we're about

Queer Tech Club is a monthly happy hour event that gets LGBTQ technology professionals from throughout the Chicago area together for networking, socializing and exchanging ideas. Each Meetup includes time for members to pitch their startup ideas, talk about recent accomplishments or share something cool they're working on. Event sponsors also share company news, employment opportunities and their latest technology innovations.

We follow the Chicago Technology Diversity Initiative Code of Conduct (http://www.chitechdiversity.com/). Please reach out to the QTC Team (queertechclub@gmail.com) or to Sarah (sgoldberg@oprecruiting.com) directly to report any incidents or for more information.

Queer Tech Club is a 501(c)(7) organization.

InterTECHtionality

Morningstar

Join Queer Tech Club for its first Meetup of 2019! InterTECHtionality is a new networking event organized by Morningstar, Queer Tech Club and Women Who Code to celebrate everyone's unique experience and point of view that can be brought to the workplace and technology. Pizza and drinks will be provided at this special mixer to kick off another year of exciting Queer Tech Club events and acknowledge intersectionality–which through awareness–allows us to ground the differences among us. During the event, we'll have plenty of introductions and announcements from QTC members as well as our co-organizers. This month's sponsor, host and co-organizer is Morningstar, a leading provider of independent investment research in North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. The company offers products and services for individual investors, financial advisors, asset managers, retirement plan providers and sponsors, and institutional investors in the private capital markets. The event's other co-organizer is Women Who Code, a global nonprofit dedicated to inspiring women to excel in technology careers. • Networking and Refreshments: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. • Announcements from QTC, Morningstar and Women Who Code: 6:30 to 7 p.m. • Networking and Refreshments: 7 to 8 p.m. Registration closes at 5 p.m., January 28. Attendees must provide the first and last names on their IDs when registering for security purposes. Guests must check-in on the ground floor. Morningstar staff will guide attendees to the event on the seventh floor.
