Queer Poets Society

Details
๐โจ Letโs meet in a quiet circle to read, listen and feel together. This evening is for poems, lyrics, queer voices & self-expression. ๐๐ถ๐
Youโre invited to bring one thing that feels right to you:
๐ A queer poem
๐ A poem you love
โ๏ธ A poem you wrote
๐ต A song lyric or quote that lives in your heart
๐ซ Or anything that feels poetic to you
If youโre shy, no worries, someone else can read it for you. ๐ซ No pressure to speak. Just being here is enough. ๐ธ
๐ After the poetry circle, weโll play a few songs brought by the group, sing or speak the lyrics out loud, like a little living room concert of feelings. ๐ค๐๏ธ
Optional cozy things to bring:
๐ฏ๏ธ a candle
๐งฃ a blanket or scarf
๐ yourself, exactly as you are
Thereโs a theme, but no expectations. ๐ฟ
You can read, listen, journal, sip tea, share a song or simply be. ๐ This is a soft space for whatever you need.
๐ Poem of the Month:
โGay Pride Weekend, S.F., 1992โ by Brenda Shaughnessy
Read it on Poetry Foundation
๐๏ธ Flow of the evening:
๐ฏ๏ธ Candle lighting ritual
๐ Poem of the month
๐ซ Open discussion
โ Short break
๐ Optional open sharing
๐ถ Media exchange
๐ฌ Slow goodbye
๐ชฉ And if youโd like to stay connected between meetups, you can join the Queer Poet Society on the Geneva app or our WhatsApp group. Just ask me for the link!
Canโt wait to share space with you ๐๐
No stage. No judgment. Just poems, songs & queer magic.
