What we’re about
We "The glorious co - organisers" selected by fate, chance, god/gods and the ability to pay meetup.com their fee welcome all to QiAS. The goal of this group is to assemble some fantastic LGBTQI people who are "art loving" or "art hating" but not "art indifferent" together to go and see exhibitions, performances, cultural experiences etc
Audience: Some of our events are focused with a largely LGBTQI+ audience to help create a critical mass and comfort for queer people, while others welcome straight allies as well, please ask when you are not sure about the event audience.
QiAS assemblies are safe spaces in that whilst discussion and passionate arguments are valued, personal attacks should never arise and if they do we expect everyone to take a chill pill and hug and make up. Also since art can be inspiring and beautiful at other times can be upsetting or even just hits us in the feels and we hope as QiAS we will empathise and support each other.
