About:
Hadley is the creator of many popular R packages including ggplot2, plyr, reshape2, and devtools. He will introduce dplyr, a new packagefor blazing fast manipulation of tabular data. dplyr builds on the ideas of the popular plyr package, but focuses on tabular data. It works transparently with data frames, data tables, and SQL databases, and boasts performance several orders of magnitude faster than plyr.
Joe is the creator of the Shiny web framework for R. He will introduce reactive programming concepts in R using Shiny. Reactive programming is a way of structuring your code that makes it easy and natural for changes in your data to "flow" through your calculations. In much the same way as a spreadsheet can automatically and efficiently recalculate dependent formulas when the value of a cell changes, code that is written in the reactive style can automatically and efficiently respond to changes in your data or parameters.
