What we’re about
Welcome to our Japa Meditation Group, where we delve into the profound teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads, guided by the understanding that Krishna resides within our hearts, patiently awaiting our choice to establish a loving relationship with him. Just as described in the scriptures, Krishna is the eternal companion, the closest friend who has been with us throughout countless lifetimes, never imposing himself but always waiting for us to choose love.
In our sessions, we explore the analogy of the two birds sitting on a tree, with Krishna representing the supreme being accompanying us on our journey through life, waiting for us to turn to him in love. Unlike a jealous or envious deity, Krishna's love is infinite and unconditional, offering assistance and guidance whenever we seek it, yet respecting our free will to choose our path.
Through the chanting of the Hare Krishna Maha mantra, we invoke the divine energies of Radha and Krishna to purify our ego and awaken the dormant love within our hearts. This practice enables us to transcend the barriers of ego and connect deeply with the essence of love, allowing it to permeate every aspect of our lives.
Our meditation sessions focus on developing clarity of mind, cultivating a genuine relationship with Krishna, and harnessing the power of Bhakti to navigate the complexities of existence with courage, confidence, and compassion. Join us as we embark on this transformative journey towards deeper understanding, purpose, and meaningful connection with the divine.

The Overnight Japa Walk for Suicide Prevention
Join us for the Out of Darkness overnight walk in Boston dedicated to the prevention of suicide.
In solidarity with individuals who have struggled with suicidal thoughts and those who have tragically succumbed to suicide, we will join the Out of Darkness overnight walk in Boston. As spiritual seekers we combine the walk with Japa chanting. This event serves as an opportunity for us to come together as a community to show our support, raise awareness, and provide vital funding for suicide prevention efforts.
As we walk, we will engage in the sacred practice of Japa chanting, offering prayers and positive energy for the well-being of all. Japa chanting is not only a deeply spiritual practice but also a powerful tool for promoting inner peace and healing. By participating in this event, you will not only contribute to a noble cause but also experience a profound sense of spiritual connection and communal upliftment.
Together, we can make a financial and spiritual difference in the lives of those who are struggling and bring hope to those who need it most.
We invite you to join us for this meaningful and transformative experience.
