About us

What is Radical Honesty?
Radical Honesty is a method for authentic communication. In this two-hour experiential call, we’ll practice telling the truth using a series of games and exercises, and introduce the fundamental elements of the Radical Honesty practice: noticing your bodily sensations, thoughts, and the world around you, and then reporting these out loud.

Primarily, Radical Honesty allows us to cut through the bullshit stories we sell ourselves and others, and instead choose to put our attention on observable reality. If this sounds interesting, or a bit crazy to you, join us!

Description
This group is all about being honest, so here’s the truth:

Me and Charlie, the facilitators of this group, along with our friends who practice Radical Honesty, are recovering liars.

We spent many years lying to people we deeply care about. We pretended we weren’t angry at our parents when we were, we people-pleased our partners and friends even when we were sick of them. We strived to be more spiritual, intelligent, cool, attractive, and to appear effortless. And all this striving was stressful!

We over-ate, over-worked, had codependent relationships, became addicted to drugs, people, sex, and felt numb, anxious, and depressed. Then we tried to hide all this behind a smile - to maintain our image and not worry our friends and family.

We secretly wanted more connection and intimacy, and to let people see who we really are, but we were terrified.

We stumbled across Radical Honesty, started taking little risks, and these days we are more capable of asking for what we want, saying “no,” and getting over our own anger.

Most of the time, we’re still scared to tell the truth, but we’ve learned to be with our uncomfortable physical sensations — numb skin, tension in our jaw, heat in our face, pressure in our temples — and to interrupt our obsessive minds and get out of painful “thinking traps.”

As a result, our relationships are more fulfilling and less stressful nowadays. And we feel more free to be our authentic, uninhibited selves.

On our calls, in a series of games and exercises, you will have the opportunity to share more honestly and vulnerably than you may be used to.

How deep you choose to go is completely up to you. As facilitators, we will be there to support you through fear or discomfort that might come up. All members of the group will agree to keep confidentiality. If you have questions about whether the meetup is right for you, please reach out to me via email at tony.cuseo@gmail.com

We look forward to meeting and connecting with you.
