"Legendary director Alfred Hitchcock (Psycho, Vertigo) presents a thrilling tale of murder and a chase for the killer through a crowded theater in this all-star classic featuring Jane Wyman (Falcon Crest) and screen legend Marlene Dietrich (The Blue Angel).

Jonathan Cooper (Richard Todd) is wanted by the police who suspect him of killing his lover's husband. His friend Eve Gill (Wyman) offers to hide him and Jonathan explains to her that his lover, actress Charlotte Inwood (Dietrich) is the real murderer. Eve decides to investigate for herself, but when she meets the detective (Michael Wilding) in charge of the case, she starts to fall in love."--Program notes
