Speed friending Picnic in the West - Parramatta

Happy new year Sydney!

Join for a speed friending picnic in the west. There is over 60% of queer people in the west.

Meeting opposite the Domain playground, which is towards Westmead lightrail station and train station. It is about a 17 min from Parramatta station.

BYO water, sunscreen.

Welcome to share a blanket, games, food and conversation.

Arrival from 12pm, friending from 12:45pm.

3 rounds:
1st round Suburbs - this will be down while walking
2nd round hobbies/interests (main one)
3rd round hobbies/interests (3nd choice) - This will be done while walking

Walking helps release nerves and calm down your nervous system

This is a very intentional way to connect. It is also very much open to everyone all over Sydney as you will also get to connect.

I'll be in rainbow to connect you! Dogs are welcomed but could interrupt YOUR chance to connect.

- Lots of various ages, backgrounds and ethnicities

Ways to engage:
- Introduce your name and ask theirs, repeat it back
- Ask someone a questions based on their hobby or suburb
- Be genuinely interested in the person
- Do not get too personal but enough to get to know person
- DO NOT BE ON PHONE - This is worse way to lose interest
- Give a little info about yourself when asked
